Free Telephone Tech Support for your Norstar * phone system issues.

 

 

This is by far the most popular part of the "online TELiNPHO": Free tech support over the telephone. We've been getting calls from all over the world and been helping people reset passwords, program phones, change extension numbers, phone names, and much more. We very much appreciate donations for when we help you program something. (Use the donate button at the bottom of this page) If we weren't offering this service you would most likely need to call in a technician that would cost lots of money. A $5 or $10 donation would help the technician helping you and would not be forgotten the next time you call.

Here's a few things to prepare before calling for free norstar* help:

1) Make sure you understand what it is you want to do. For example : If you suddenly want the main lines to ring on a certain phone, make sure you know the extension number of the phone you want to make ring ! Putting us on hold for minutes because you don't remember the extension number of the phone you want to program is very common and time consuming for our tech's.

2) You need to have an M7310 or M7324 model phone in front of you. (Any phone that has the 3 keys under the display will do, the reception phone will always be ok)

3) You CAN NOT be using that phone (from step 3) to call us on. So you either need to use another phone that is within arms reach, or use a cell phone. (Phone system programming is not always as easy as it seems, so don't say "just give me the directions, i'll write them down, and then I'll do it after". More often than not we need to walk you through it step by step. Norstar phone system menu's change based on the software version of your phone system.)

4) Take a few moments to read about how to navigate through the system programming. You need to understand this in order to do most phone system programming. If you can't identify the "next", "show", "back" and "heading" buttons we can't help you much. (Heading is usually reffered to as ESCAPE by our phone support technicians.)

5) Please don't put us on hold to take other phone calls or to talk with co-workers. We're helping you with your phone system programming for FREE, and helping you avoid an expensive service call by your local phone system company.

6) If there's anyone at all in the company who has a little more experience with phone system programming than you, that's the person who should be calling. Simple things like changing the name on a phone are not REALLY that simple. Someone from the computer staff (IT) is usually a good choice. Someone that has done it before is even better.

7) We spend lots of time giving free norstar telephone system support, and most of the time it's from business's that are so far away there's no chance we will ever ACTUALLY get to sell them something or get to visit for a service call.
